Make a Submission
For our seventh annual Pilgrim Artists Festival this 15-18 September 2023, we are seeking submissions reflecting on the prompt: Beauty in the Everyday
We accept entries from Christian artists worldwide, of all ages. Your entry need not be explicitly religious but should engage meaningfully with our prompt.

Please also note this year's dates:
If you are 18 or older, submit by midnight on Saturday, 5 August and your submission is free. Or you can submit with a fee of $10 extra per week up to midnight Saturday, 2 September. We cannot accept adult submissions after 2 September.
If you are under 18, your submissions are free. Literary youth submissions are due by midnight on Wednesday, 6 September. Visual and music youth submissions are due by midnight on Saturday, 9 September.

Prize Information
Literary Prizes
The 2023 Literary prizes for adults (18+) are:
• The $250 W.R. Gingell Prize for Fiction and a $100 Wandering Bookseller gift voucher
• The $250 Soul Tread Prize for Non-fiction and a Soul Tread Pack
• The $250 Wandering Bookseller Prize for Poetry and $100 Wandering Bookseller gift voucher
In addition, university students and recent graduates (graduated in the last three years) are eligible for:
• The $75 Fiction Award for University Students and Recent Graduates
• The $75 Non-fiction Award for University Students and Recent Graduates
• The $75 Poetry Award for University Students and Recent Graduates
Literary prizes for teens (13-17) are:
• The $60 Pilgrim Artists Prize for Fiction
• The $60 Pilgrim Artists Prize for Non-fiction
• The $60 Pilgrim Artists Prize for Poetry
And for children (12 and under):
• The $25 Suzannah Rowntree Prize for Fiction
• The $25 Suzannah Rowntree Prize for Non-fiction
• The $25 Suzannah Rowntree Prize for Poetry
Exhibition Prizes

• The Pilgrim Hill Acquisitive Award
• The $1000 Mandala People’s Choice Award
• The $600 Lili Baehr Joie de Vivre Prize, celebrating joy in art and music
• The $250 Eco Shack Photography Award
• The $250 Daffodil Road Yarn Handicraft Award
• The $250 The Aurora Chasers Handbook Landscape Award
• The $250 Kingsley Downs Prize for Classical Realism
For youth (under 18), prizes are:
• The $200 Mandala People’s Choice Award for Youth
• The $200 Lili Baehr Joie de Vivre Prize for Youth, celebrating joy in art and music
• The $100 Jarvela Digital Photography Award for Teens 15-17
• The $50 Jarvela Digital Photography Award for Under 15
• Two separate $75 John Everett Millais Youth Art Awards for Classical Realism
• The $70 Artery Gift Certificate Ned Isham Prize for 15-17
• The $60 Artery Gift Certificate Ned Isham Prize for 11-14
• The $50 Artery Gift Certificate Ned Isham Prize for 8-10
• The $40 Artery Gift Certificate Ned Isham Prize for 5-7

About the Festival
Our 7th annual "small festival of art, music, and words" runs Friday to Monday, 15-18 September, with the exhibition continuing through Sunday the 24th.
